Closed cell slow rise formula or Injection foam for existing walls, perform drill and fill operations behind the plaster or drywall, making it perfect for updating older houses and structures.

The Slow Rise formula becomes tack-free in approximately in 3 minutes. This is beneficial for applications that require the foam to reach far-off areas before setting.

DO NOT apply this foam to open walls as it will run down from the surface, it is designed for existing walls and cavities.

This kit comes ready to spray with a 15 ft. Gun/Hose Assembly, Gloves, Coverall, Safety Glass and 8 Nozzle Tips.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High-Coverage Closed-Cell Insulation – Up to 600 Board Feet: Designed for existing wall cavities and drill-and-fill applications, delivering an R-value of approximately R-7 per inch to help improve thermal efficiency.
  • Class A Fire Performance – ASTM E84 Tested: Manufacturer-reported Class A surface-burning classification, indicating low flame spread under the specified test conditions. Refer to the product's technical documentation for verified test results.
  • Moisture-Resistant Closed-Cell Foam: Helps resist moisture intrusion and air movement through properly insulated areas, supporting better moisture management when installed in a suitable wall assembly.
  • Effective Air Sealing: Expands to fill accessible gaps and voids, helping reduce unwanted air leakage, drafts, and energy loss.
  • Protection Against Dust & Air Infiltration: Helps limit airborne dust movement through sealed gaps and may reduce sound transmission associated with air leakage.
  • Ready-to-Use Spray Foam Kit: Includes a 15-foot applicator hose, spray gun, 8 nozzles, gloves, safety glasses, protective coverall, and other accessories for installation. Components may be disposable or recyclable according to manufacturer instructions and local recycling requirements.

How to Use Vega Bond Slow-Rise Injection Foam

For best results, follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines. Proper preparation and temperature control help ensure consistent foam performance.

Step 1: Wear Protective Gear

Wear appropriate respiratory protection, safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves, and a protective coverall. Ensure proper ventilation.

Step 2: Prepare the Wall Cavities

Make sure the enclosed wall cavities are suitable for injection, clean, dry, and free from active moisture issues. Follow the recommended drill-and-fill procedure.

Step 3: Check Application Temperatures

Keep tanks between 75°F–85°F (24°C–29°C) and the application temperature at 65°F (18°C) or above. Never use open flames or direct heat to warm the tanks.

Step 4: Assemble the Spray Foam Kit

Connect the hoses securely, prepare the spray gun, and attach the appropriate nozzle according to the manual. Apply petroleum jelly to the gun face if instructed, and shake the canisters for at least 3 minutes.

Step 5: Inject the Foam

Inject slowly into suitable enclosed wall cavities, following the manufacturer's filling procedure. Avoid overfilling, as foam expansion may damage finished walls.

Step 6: Allow Proper Curing

The foam becomes tack-free in approximately 3 minutes. Follow the manufacturer's full curing, ventilation, and safe re-entry instructions.

Important: Vega Bond Slow-Rise Injection Foam is designed for enclosed wall cavities only. Do not use on open walls or exposed surfaces.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Vega Bond Slow-Rise Foam in existing walls?

Yes. The V600 Slow-Rise formula is designed for insulation retrofits in suitable enclosed wall cavities. Foam is injected through drilled access holes behind existing drywall or plaster.

What is the difference between slow-rise and fast-rise spray foam?

Slow-rise foam is designed to flow into enclosed cavities before setting, making it suitable for drill-and-fill applications. Fast-rise foam expands and sets more quickly and is generally better suited to exposed surfaces and open-wall insulation applications.

How much area does the V600 kit cover?

The V600 kit has a manufacturer-stated yield of up to 600 board feet. A board foot represents one square foot of area at one inch of thickness. Actual coverage varies with installed thickness, cavity conditions, and application efficiency.

How long does Vega Bond Slow-Rise Foam take to dry?

The foam becomes tack-free in approximately 3 minutes under suitable conditions. Tack-free time is not the same as full cure time. Follow the manufacturer's curing and re-entry instructions.

Does the kit include a respirator?

No. The kit includes gloves, safety glasses, and a protective coverall, but respiratory protection must be obtained separately. Use the type specified in the product's safety data sheet and applicable safety requirements.

Can slow-rise injection foam be used on open walls?

No. Vega Bond Slow-Rise Injection Foam is intended for enclosed cavities. It may run down open surfaces before curing and should not be substituted for an open-wall spray foam system.
