 How To Use

  • Wear your protective gear including safety glass, plastic hand gloves, and a protective work suit.
  • Thoroughly clean and dry the area you want to apply the foam
  • Ensure the tanks are between 75° F to 85° F, and if not, you can either allow them to cool down or warm them up. Do not use open flames or a blow torch to warm the tank. You can do so by keeping them at room temperature or bringing them close to an electric heater.
  • Fix your spray foam insulation kit as specified in the manual by securely connecting the hoses to the tanks. Then apply petroleum jelly on the spray gun face before attaching the nozzle. Shake the canisters for at least 3 mins.
  • Spray evenly on the intended surface by squeezing the trigger. Also, keep in mind that the spray foam rises in size and solidifies after a few minutes.
  • The application temperature should be 65° F or above the get the best yield.

It is recommended that you change the nozzle after 8 minutes of continuous spraying or if you stop spraying for about 30 seconds.

I expected bette.

I needed to spray a ceiling under a concrete porch. While spraying, foam kept running down the spray nozzle and all over my hand and trigger. The suit that comes with it is too small. The sleeves are not long enough, which left about 3 inches of my arm exposed. You do get 2 pairs of gloves, I needed a couple more pairs as I had to change them each time I changed out the nozzle. The product did foam up well. Based on the calculation, I needed a little more than 400 board fee for 2" depth. I ended up using the entire kit as I wanted to be sure I sprayed enough. If you plan on spraying a ceiling, don't us the glasses that are provided in the kit. Buy a good pair of goggles that fits well. My eyes became irritated and teared up while spraying.

Vega bond v600 kit

Purchased 2 v600 kits and these kits are awesome. I got great coverage at 2 inches thick. Just follow their recommendations for spraying and you will not be disappointed! You receive plenty of spare spray nozzles so you can take a break when needed.

Pleasantly went further than expected

I had three areas to do: one in my shop (where the wall met the roof) and two in my basement (rim joists). I expected the shop to use about half and the remainder for my basement. I did the shop first. I made one pass and got everything thoroughly. I noticed the pressure starting to drop when I was almost to the end of the wall, so I was hoping I would have enough for the basement. I carted everything down to the house, put on a new nozzle, and sprayed the first basement area, then moved to the second area and sprayed it using another new nozzle. Then I ran out of places to spray at the house and the tanks seemed to have quite a bit still in them. I was ready to be done for the day (and the tanks were cooling off from my cool basement), so I carted it all back up to my shop, and put it aside. The next evening, I put on a new nozzle, and sprayed at least as much as I had the first time. So I now not only have a great seal, I have some pretty thick insulation. It's hard to say exactly how much as where I was spraying was oddly shaped and uneven from the original (poorly covered) spray foam application.

My nits with the system: 1) When installing a nozzle, the handle does not provide a good opposing surface to squeeze against, especially if you have small hands. (However, removing the nozzles were a breeze.) 2) The latex gloves were super cheap and ripped too easily, so I used my own nitrile gloves. 3) The bunny suit arms were too short for this application. Realize that you are spraying with your arms raised—likely above your shoulders, which causes the sleeves to pull up your arm and expose your wrist and forearm. I had to wrap my forearms with rags and hold them on with rubber bands to cover the gap.

I would not hesitate to purchase and use this product again, but with few tweaks, it could be even better.
