After several nights of research (swiping and watching videos), I decided to give the Purple Coat a shot. It did not disappoint! The final result is exactly what I was hoping for.
What surprised me most is the added structural strength it gives my shop. It’s almost like coating the building in truck bed liner—tough and durable.
The application process was simple and straightforward. Check out the attached video of my daughter using the product for the first time.
I ordered this product on a Friday and received it on Monday the next week. The kit included everything I needed other than the mask. five of the tips were crushed and unusable due to shipping damage. Fortunately, Vega Bond provided me with 8 of them. I live in a very humid climate, and every other form of insulation that I have used on the ducts in my attic has formed condensation. I just went into the attic today and inspected my work. The only area that ANY condensation has formed was in half inch spot that I neglected to spray. I am incredibly satisfied with this product, and intend to buy more in the future.
the coverage was very close to the amount that the manufacturer states. the spray gun works well. do what the instruction videos say and you are good.
I had a problem with a clogged gun. Customer service contacted me right away to help remedy the problem by sending out a new gun and product
I’m using this to insulate the ceiling of a cabin. Does what it says on the can. All twelve cans I’ve used so far have worked and I’ll try to update with a final consensus. There’s a learning curve, but it isn’t rocket science — follow the instructions, especially in regards to appropriate temperatures, and you should be golden.
